It had been a busy few weeks. Last week I was down at the capitol for the Iowa Association of School Boards and Iowa's Area Education Agencies’ Day on the Hill. Grateful for the time with Dr. Blum, Senator Whitver and Representative Gehlbach to talk about the impact of a “fee for service” model.

This past Wednesday Charlie and I just missed testifying at the House Education Subcommittee meeting. We were #38 and they ended on number #34. We did get to speak with some members of the House Education Committee in the hall.

We topped off our second week of advocacy at the Mother-Son Dance. Love that the South Prairie Elementary DC-G PTO sponsored a Sensory Room. It was a great way to go to the dance, hear the music but not be so overwhelmed.

If you get the chance email your legislators. Thank them for their service. Ask them to continue to listen to stakeholders. Ask them to set State Supplemental Aid at 6%.
